Programs & Services
Real Help. Real People. Real Change.
Every program we run is designed around one question: what does this person actually need right now? From hot meals to housing support, we meet people where they are.
Four Programs. One Mission.
Giving Back America operates four core service programs, each addressing a distinct but interconnected need in our community. Together, they form a safety net that catches people at their most vulnerable and helps them find their footing again.
Honoring Those Who Served
Comprehensive support for veterans facing housing instability, isolation, and the invisible wounds of service.
Our Veterans Support Program was the seed from which Giving Back America grew. We provide transitional housing assistance, peer counseling, benefits navigation, and social connection for veterans who have fallen through the cracks of the system. No veteran should sleep on the street. No veteran should face their struggles alone.
- Transitional housing placement and rental assistance
- VA benefits navigation and claims support
- Peer support groups and one-on-one counseling referrals
- Emergency financial assistance for utilities and food
- Connection to employment and job readiness resources
No One Goes Hungry Here
Hot, nutritious meals served with dignity — five days a week, no questions asked.
Our Community Kitchen has served over 2,500 meals in the past year alone. Open Monday through Friday, we welcome anyone who needs a meal — the unhoused, working families stretched too thin, seniors on fixed incomes, and anyone in between. Our kitchen is staffed by dedicated volunteers and a small professional team committed to making every guest feel at home.
- Hot lunch service Monday–Friday, 11am–1pm
- Weekend meal kits for families in need
- Holiday meal events (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter)
- Nutrition education and healthy cooking workshops
- Grocery assistance and food pantry access
Strengthening Families From the Inside Out
Emergency relief, long-term stability support, and youth programs for families navigating hardship.
Families in crisis need more than a one-time handout — they need a partner. Our Family Services program provides emergency financial assistance, school supply drives, after-school mentorship for youth, and case management to help families build lasting stability. We walk alongside families for as long as they need us.
- Emergency rent and utility assistance
- Back-to-school supply drives and clothing closet
- After-school tutoring and youth mentorship
- Case management and referrals to partner agencies
- Holiday toy drives and seasonal family events
Building Pathways to Self-Sufficiency
Skills training, resume workshops, and employer connections for individuals ready to re-enter the workforce.
Long-term stability requires income. Our Job Readiness Program equips participants with the practical skills and confidence to secure and keep meaningful employment. From resume writing and interview coaching to digital literacy and employer partnerships, we open doors that might otherwise stay closed.
- Resume writing and cover letter workshops
- Mock interview coaching and professional attire assistance
- Digital literacy and computer skills training
- Employer partnership network and job placement support
- Soft skills development and financial literacy classes
Every Program Runs on Your Support
Donations, volunteer hours, and in-kind gifts keep our programs running. Whatever you can give, it goes directly to the people who need it most.
